Constructed by the renowned Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the Silver Ray is the 12th ship in Silversea’s esteemed fleet. The ship was delivered in mid-May, and on Wednesday, June 12, it was officially named at the Port of Lisbon. The naming ceremony was a grand affair, attended by Jason Liberty, president and CEO of the Royal Caribbean Group, and Bert Hernandez, who celebrated his first naming as Silversea’s president. The event was further graced by Dr. Josefina Olascoaga, an ocean scientist and the ship’s godmother, along with Captain Alessandro Zanello.
